Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Determined to advance football development in Malang City, the Malang City Football Revitalization Working Body (Baja RSB) is preparing to hold a football festival between high schools/vocational schools. To finalize the preparation, Baja RSB held an audience with the Malang City Government at the Malang Creative Center (MCC) Malang City, Friday (16/6/2023).
Also present at the audience were the Assistant for Government and Social Welfare of the Malang City Regional Secretariat Ida Ayu Made Wahyuni, Head of the Malang City Communication and Information Service Muhammad Nur Widianto, Head of the Malang City Disporapar Baihaqi, Head of the Malang City Bappeda Dwi Rahayu, and Head of Public Relations of Malang City Muhammad Fakhurizal Hariez.
Secretary of Baja RSB Malang City Imam SAR revealed that currently the preparation for the football festival between SMA/SMK continues to be perfected. "The closest activity of Baja RSB Malang City at this time is preparing a football festival between SMA/SMK throughout Malang City in August for the preliminary round and in September for the semifinals and finals," explained Imam.
The plan is that the Malang City Forkopimda Cup football festival will be attended by 40 teams from schools in Malang City which will then be divided into five groups. This festival can also be an event to monitor the seeds of reliable football players and it is hoped that good football athletes can emerge from Malang City.
Meanwhile, the Assistant for Government and Social Welfare of the Malang City Regional Secretariat, Ida Ayu Made Wahyuni, said that her party welcomed the holding of the football festival between high schools/vocational schools. According to her, activities like this can advance sports development, especially football.
"This is our follow-up activity with Baja RSB after some time ago having an audience with the Mayor of Malang to be able to advance football in Malang City," explained Ida. (cah/yon)
