Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – What the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji instructed his staff, especially the village heads to continue to suppress the stunting rate in each village to run optimally. In a short time, the stunting rate can be suppressed significantly and continues to process. The number one person in the Malang City Government also ordered various parties to work together to suppress stunting.
The Mayor of Malang also expressed his appreciation to the village heads in the Klojen District in a series of Community Visit activities at the Oro-oro Dowo Village Office, Malang City, Friday (16/06/2023). He invited the village heads and sub-district heads to continue to race to reduce the stunting rate to zero.
As in the Gading Kasri Subdistrict area, some time ago the number of children who were potentially stunted was 40, and after intervention, now there are only 16 children. This number will continue to decrease with the implementation of various real steps.
Gading Kasri Village Head, Rendra Kurnia Wardana S.STP MM said that his party collaborated with various parties in this program. He gave an example, the involvement of youth organizations, posyandu cadres, Babinsa and Babhinkamtibmas was extraordinary so that the stunting rate could be reduced in a short time.
"In the near future or by the end of this month, we can at least target less than five children who are potentially stunted and even eliminate them completely," he said.
A similar statement was made by the Head of Oro-Oro Dowo Village, Solikin SE. According to him, the provision of nutritious food, assistance from health workers, nutritionists and the involvement of the TNI-Polri have been very effective so far. "From the various efforts we have made, the stunting rate which was previously 25 children, is now 16 children. We will continue to reduce that number as low as possible," he said.
Not much different from the Head of Gading Kasri Village and the Head of Oro-Oro Dowo Village, the Head of Klojen Village, Waluyo Safari, SE, MM also did something similar. He said that all elements of society were mobilized in an effort to reduce the stunting rate. "The results are significant, where the stunting rate which was previously 27 children is now 16 children. This is thanks to the togetherness and concern of all parties, so I express my gratitude for this achievement," he said.
This significant decline in stunting rates also occurred in several sub-districts in other Klojen District areas. Such as in Penanggangguan Sub-district from 33 to 19 children, in Kasin Sub-district from 41 children to 31 children, in Samaan Sub-district from 31 children to 20 children. In Bareng Sub-district from 60 to 49 children, in Sukoharjo Sub-district from 36 to 23 children, and in Rampal Celaket Sub-district from 15 children to 10 children. (say/yon)
