Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Resident Visit Program of the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, together with the ranks of the Malang City Government, this time targeted the Gadingkasri Village and Oro-oro Dowo Village, Klojen District, Malang City, Friday (16/06/2023). Like the previous implementation, the activity which was packaged with cycling (gowes) together went around the two sub-districts while greeting and seeing the real conditions of the residents.
Special assistance is also provided to residents in need, such as people with disabilities, People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ) and families with vulnerable children or those classified as stunted. Through the Sambang Warga program, the ranks of the Malang City Government also ensure that a number of infrastructure and community facilities are functioning properly. Such as learning houses, educational institutions, water channels and those related to security.
Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji said that what was done was for the good of the people and his party knew firsthand what was actually happening in the community. In addition to the problem of stunting, handling extreme poverty is also one of the focuses of the Malang City Government, so that all elements of society must move and play an active role.
"Extreme poverty can trigger stunting, so handling it is not only the government's responsibility. If we only rely on the government, the results will be less than optimal. Therefore, elements of society such as youth organizations, non-governmental organizations, environmental cadres, integrated health posts and the private sector, let's work together to overcome this social problem," said the number one person in the Malang City Government.
Although nationally the poverty and stunting rates have decreased, the bespectacled man invited his staff not to be careless and to continue to try to reduce them with various programs. "If there is togetherness and strong will from various parties, then whatever we want to achieve will definitely be realized well," concluded Sutiaji. (say/yon)
