Malang Mayor Continues to Invite ASN to Improve Work Ethic

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – On the sidelines of the Mayor of Malang's Community Visit activity with staff in the yard of the Oro-Oro Dowo Village Office, Klojen District, Friday (16/6/2023), the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji continued to invite all his staff to work with discipline, provide the best service to the community and always innovate. The State Civil Apparatus (ASN) is one of the public servants whose presence is very much needed and whose existence is very central.

The Mayor of Malang, Sutiaji, invited all his staff to provide the best service to the community.

The number one person in Malang City Government said that currently the progress of information technology is extraordinary and our society is very critical of various things that happen around them and even from what they see or hear. Concretely, society is so easy to upload various events or services that they consider not good to social media.

"Whether we like it or not, that's what's happening in our society today, so it can be said that the work demands of ASN are very high, they must be technology literate and understand what's happening in society. Old work patterns must be changed and even abandoned, such as only handling administration behind a desk," said Mayor Sutiaji.

The bespectacled man gave an example of the work patterns of Chinese citizens, based on the results of his working visit last week to China. "The majority of people there do not have a religion, but they are religious. They only have the principle that they only want to instill and spread goodness, and one day hope to get something the same as what they do," he explained.

He added that people in China always respect others and work regardless of time. "When I arrived there at 01.00 in the morning, they still welcomed me warmly. There was even an official at the level of the head of a BUMN if in Indonesia, still wanted to carry our goods. This is extraordinary, and I salute it and can't imagine if in Indonesia or Malang City it could be like that," said Sutiaji.

"Work like this can be an example, as well as what other regional heads or sub-district heads do. For example, the existence of senior schools, learning parks and toga parks for the community, must be replicated. Imitating something good is not a problem, and is even required because it will be part of innovation," he concluded. (say/yon)
