"This adds to the tenants prepared by the Malang City Government. So that all (public services) are increasingly filled. The Ministry of Religion also opened a tenant here, further completing all community affairs at the Merdeka MPP. The hope is that it will be more complete," said Mayor Sutiaji.

The Mayor of Malang said that the Malang City Government is committed to continuing to improve the quality of public services, including through services at the Merdeka MPP. According to him, this is a must to serve the community well.

"This is indeed an extraordinary thing, because it is indeed our obligation to serve the community well. Hopefully, more and more other agencies will open services here," he said.

He further explained that in the future there will be a third phase of development for the Merdeka MPP so that it will be wider. In addition, to realize inclusive public services, it will be equipped with access for the disabled.

"The state is present by providing the best service to the entire community with continuous efforts to be strengthened and improved. The service orientation is now based on ASN who serve the community and are dynamic," said the bespectacled man.

Some of the Ministry of Religious Affairs services provided at the Merdeka MPP include the Religious Affairs Office (KUA) service, hajj service, halal certification service, and religious consultation service. Interestingly, residents of Klojen District can use the free marriage service at the wedding corner provided by the Ministry of Religious Affairs at the Merdeka MPP. On the occasion of the inauguration of this Ministry of Religious Affairs service, the Mayor of Malang witnessed the marriage of a couple from the Klojen District.

"Next, here there is an addition, indeed in every KAU there is a marriage hall and if you get married at the KUA it's free, getting married here is also free. Later, the religious court, Dispendukcapil and cross-sectors will provide services to our brothers and sisters who are actually husband and wife but do not yet have a marriage certificate. This is what is expected to be made easier because identity is currently a very important thing. Hopefully in the future we will soon collaborate to provide services to all of our brothers and sisters," he concluded. (yul/yon)
