Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Ahead of the implementation of the Simultaneous Election on February 14, 2024, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Malang City continues to intensify security patterns. This is a real step in an effort to realize peaceful, dignified elections and create regional conduciveness.
The statement was delivered by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji after attending the Roll Call of the Head of the Environmental Unit and Security at the Malang City Police Headquarters, Wednesday (21/6/2023). According to him, the community-based environmental security system at the RT - RW level is the front guard.
In addition, the bespectacled man explained that from this it is increasingly confirmed that the responsibility for regional security is no longer entirely the responsibility of the TNI-Polri. So that various problems at the RT, RW and sub-district levels become the responsibility of local policy makers.
"So the community must understand that, and when a problem occurs, they do not have to wait for TNI-Polri personnel. Moreover, the city of Malang is the initiator of RT, RW and strong sub-districts, which also have strong security," explained Mayor Sutiaju.
Furthermore, the number one person in the Malang City Government said that when talking about security, it is not only limited to motorcycle theft (curanmor) but is very broad in scope. Such as preventing fake news/hoaxes, its citizens are united and free from radicalism and terrorism.
Meanwhile, Malang City Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto said that there will definitely be many things that will be implemented such as going down to the community to conduct socialization with the KPU and Bawaslu. Including in that matter which received support related to maintaining security and order supported by the Mayor of Malang, the Chairman of the DPRD and the Commander of the Malang City Kodim.
