Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The success of the Malang City Government (Pemkot) in boosting Regional Original Income (PAD), especially from the tax sector, has attracted the attention of the Aceh Besar Regency Government, Aceh Province. Malang City is considered successful in the regional tax sector and has had regional regulations on taxes.

In this regard, the Aceh Besar Regency Government conducted a working visit to the Malang City Government, Thursday (22/6/2023). The Aceh Besar Regency Government delegation was received by the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko and his staff in the Meeting Room of the Malang City Hall.
During this working visit, Acting Regent of Aceh Besar, Muhammad Iswanto said, when the Tsunami disaster struck some time ago, 10 of the 23 sub-districts in his area were devastated and the economy stagnated. Over time, he said that with assistance from various regions, including from the Malang City Government, currently Aceh Besar Regency continues to improve.
"However, we continue to make various improvements, especially in the economic sector, and more specifically in the field of regional taxes. We are currently drafting a draft regional tax regulation and we have decided to conduct a study tour to Malang City," added Iswanto.
He added, based on information from the Ministry of Finance, Malang City already has a regional regulation in accordance with Law No. 1 of 2022. "So it is not excessive if we ask for assistance from the Malang City Government in drafting these regulations," continued Iswanto.
Responding to this, the Deputy Mayor of Malang said that so far the Malang City Government in this case the Regional Revenue Agency has taken various steps so that tax revenues continue to increase. In addition, socialization regarding the importance of paying taxes is carried out intensively.
"From these various steps, the level of compliance of the community, who are taxpayers, continues to improve. So that automatically their tax revenues also increase significantly over time. In addition, the implementation of online tax or e-tax is also running optimally," explained the man who is familiarly called Bung Edi. (say/yon)
