Surabaya (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji received the Public Official Who Cares about the Duties of the Police award from the Head of the East Java Regional Police (Kapolda) Inspector General. Pol. Dr. Toni Harmanto, MH. This award was received for providing assistance in the form of grants in the context of Maintaining Public Security and Order (Harkamtibmas) and Improving Public Service Facilities at the Malang City Police.
The award presented by the East Java Regional Police Chief during the 77th Bhayangkara Day Ceremony at the Grahadi State Building, Saturday (1/7/2023) was received by the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko representing the Mayor of Malang.
"Alhamdulillah, on this Bhayangkara Day commemoration, the East Java Regional Police Chief gave awards to the regional government ranks who played an active role in contributing to supporting the duties of the Police. Especially in maintaining public security and order," explained Deputy Mayor Sofyan Edi.
The Deputy Mayor of Malang, often called Bung Edi, explained that guaranteed public security and order are one of the prerequisites for the acceleration of the national development process. "With a conducive public order situation, various disturbances and threats can be anticipated. Of course, synergy between the regional government and the police in fostering and developing the potential of the community in warding off various threats is very much needed," he explained.
Separately, Malang Mayor Sutiaji when contacted on the sidelines of his official agenda expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the achievements. "On behalf of the citizens of Malang City and the ranks of the Malang City Government, we wish you a Happy 77th Bhayangkara Day. Not to forget the highest appreciation for the ranks of the Police for their continuous commitment to maintaining public order and security. Alhamdulillah, praise be to God, on this commemoration we also received an award," said Mayor Sutiaji.
The Mayor of Malang said that this award is a spur to strengthen the synergy of various elements in maintaining the peace and conduciveness of Malang City. "Of course, in order to present a safe and conducive Malang City, it must be realized with synergy and collaboration with all elements and agencies. Maintaining security and order is not only the police's business, but the task of all the nation's children, starting from the ranks of the TNI, religious leaders, community leaders, including the Malang City Government. This award is a form of the success of the hexahelix collaboration between the Malang City Government and the Malang City Police," he explained further. (sfr/yon)
