Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The success of waste management and community empowerment to actively participate in waste processing from its source, namely households through the Malang Waste Bank (BSM), attracted the interest of the PKK of Talunkulon Village, Bandung District, Tulungagung Regency to conduct a comparative study of integrated waste management at BSM located on Jl. S. Supriyadi no. 38 Sukun, Malang City, Wednesday (5/7/2023).

BSM Admin, Isa Trio Zulmi Azis, revealed that there were several things that the group from the Talunkulon Village PKK wanted to learn, including the management and administration of organic and non-organic waste.
"There were two speakers who presented the material to guests from Tulungagung. The first was Yusup Karyawan who explained about organic waste management, and Efrida Hartini about inorganic waste," explained Isa, Wednesday (5/7/2023).
Isa acknowledged that the presence of many parties from outside Malang City for comparative studies or learning further raised the enthusiasm of Malang Waste Bank to continue sharing knowledge and spreading goodness.
Yusup expressed his joy in being able to share knowledge with the team from Talunkulon Village, Tulungagung. He hopes that some of the materials he presented can provide many benefits during the comparative study in Malang City. "The material I presented was related to the management of organic waste with maggots, and the second material was related to the management of rainwater into clean water," explained Yusup.
With the material presented by Yusup, it is also hoped that the comparative study participants can improve their understanding of waste. He said that if waste is managed well, waste that was previously considered a problem can bring more blessings.

The reason is that they often hear that Malang City is very good in terms of waste management, one of which is through the Malang Waste Bank.
