Jakarta (malangkota.go.id) – Thanks to her dedication through various programs and innovations, the Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP, Hj. Widayati Sutiaji, S.sos, MM received an award at the Anugerah Inspiratif Festival 6 Indonesia 2023 event for the category of Inspirational Women Activists of the Creative Economy Based on Culture, in Jakarta, Saturday (8/7/2023).
"Thank you for this award. Hopefully this can be an inspiration for mothers and all women everywhere, especially Malang City. Indeed, women can be involved in realizing an active, productive society and towards a dignified Malang City," said Widayati.
This award was given to the woman who is also the Chair of Dekranasda because she is considered a figure who has contributed to strengthening the creative economy through culture-based MSMEs, preserving flora with economic value, and preserving culture through fashion.
"The City Government (Malang) is very committed to supporting what is a national priority issue, including stunting, poverty alleviation and food security. Therefore, the Malang City Government and the PKK Team are working together through various programs and innovations to build Malang City," he explained further.
The woman in hijab said that the programs and innovations include the Gerbudbute (Clipe Telang Flower Cultivation Movement) and urban farming. She said that there are three essences of the Gerbudbute and urban farming programs, namely health resilience, economic resilience, and social resilience.
"The Malang City Government and TP PKK have made various efforts to make this program a success, including strengthening the hexa helix policy. We invite and actively involve our friends in banking and the financial services sector regarding capital. We also collaborate with Perumda Tunas for marketing," explained Widayati.
At this event, the Indonesian Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo also received an award in the category of Inspirational Figures in Fulfilling Agricultural Needs and Productivity. The award was presented by the Minister of Agriculture to all Indonesian farmers for providing food for the entire Indonesian people. "It is very important to continue to strengthen food security," said the Indonesian Minister of Agriculture, SYL while attending Festival6.
In relation to this, in Malang City, even though agricultural land is limited, it does not dampen the spirit as in the program driven by the Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP through the urban farming and Gerbubute programs.
In order to strengthen MSMEs in Malang City, Widayati is considered to have made a contribution through the implementation of the successful and lively MSME festival by Dekranasda which was attended by MSME groups and the community through a traditional cultural approach.
He also actively participates in preserving culture through fashion by collaborating and integrating with Diskopindag Malang City, to advance the fashion industry of Malang City. Such as through a fashion show competition which includes a fashion show that combines traditional patterns, motifs and contemporary clothing typical of Malang City.
