Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Malang Attend Gala Dinner of APEKSI XVI National Working Meeting

Makassar (malangkota.go.id) – Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji accompanied by the Chairperson of the Malang City PKK Team Hj. Widayati Sutiaji, S.sos, MM together with the Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko who was accompanied by Chairperson I of the Malang City PKK TP, Ely Estiningtyas attended the gala dinner which was the first agenda in the 2023th National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Association of Indonesian City Governments (APEKSI) in 11 in Makassar, Tuesday (7/2023/XNUMX).

Makassar City became the venue for the APEKSI National Working Meeting which was attended by approximately 85 mayors throughout Indonesia. The gala dinner, which was steeped in cultural nuances, was the opening of the APEKSI National Working Meeting series which took place from July 10, 2023 to July 14, 2023. "The Association of Indonesian City Governments or abbreviated as APEKSI is an organization for all city governments in Indonesia," explained Malang Mayor Sutiaji.

The XVI National Working Meeting with the theme 'Our City is Advanced, Our Indonesia is Strong' includes a series of activities with the spirit of sustainable development, strengthening investment opportunities, and promotion of local products, innovations and cuisine (local pride) which is also a commitment of the Malang City Government.

Furthermore, the bespectacled man revealed that the Malang City Government is very committed to supporting what are national priority issues through various efforts. One of them is through the process of mutual learning, strengthening coordination and building synergy with various parties. So that the city government becomes more sensitive, strong and creative in carrying out the development process.

"Of course, the purpose of this activity is to exchange ideas, transfer understanding, discuss ideas, and share experiences related to ideas, innovations, breakthroughs, services, and benefits, for the greatest benefit to the community," said the Mayor of Malang.

APEKSI as a forum for city governments throughout Indonesia has a strategic role in implementing various efforts to accelerate development. Thus, various challenges faced both locally, nationally and globally are expected to be increasingly able to be faced.

Present at the gala dinner were Acting Regional Secretary of South Sulawesi Province Andi Darmawan Bintang who represented the Governor of South Sulawesi, Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Elestianto Dardak, APEKSI General Chairperson Bima Arya. The gala dinner was closed with the presentation of souvenirs by the Mayor of Makassar, Muhammad Ramadhan Pomanto as the host of the 2023th APEKSI XNUMX National Working Meeting to all mayors present.
