Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In order to mitigate the risk of social conflict in Malang City, the Malang City National Integration Forum (FPK) held a Socialization of the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 34 of 2006 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of National Integration in the Regions at the Gajahmada Graha Hotel, Tuesday (18/7/2023).
Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this socialization activity. "Today, FPK together with groups, community groups in Malang City are synergizing to build a life full of peace and harmony. Hopefully what we do together can strengthen the ecosystem of harmonious life in this beloved city," he explained in his speech.
The Deputy Mayor of Malang who also received the mandate as the Advisory Board of FPK Malang City emphasized the importance of synergy and collaboration between groups, as well as with the Malang City Government. The man who is familiarly called Bung Edi said that with the integration of nationalities, there is a process of implementing integration activities for community members from various circles without having to eliminate their respective identities. This is in accordance with Permendagri No. 34 of 2006 article 1 paragraph 1.
"This national integration is an important part of national harmony that will strengthen national integration. With the realization of this national integration, it will certainly create a safe and conducive Malang City. God willing, it will also increase public trust in Malang City as a City of Education and Tourism City," said Bung Edi.
The bespectacled man reminded that Malang City is a miniature of Indonesia that has a diversity of ethnic backgrounds, religions, customs, and cultures. Therefore, it is very important to be aware of being able to live together peacefully and tolerantly.
"I hope that FPK can foster and maintain public order and security against the possibility of threats of security disturbances due to the diversity of society in order to create a solid and integral social life in Malang City," he hoped.
Meanwhile, the Head of FPK Malang City, Ade Syarif Hidayat, said that in connection with the social conflict between young generations from the regions that disrupts security, peace, and order in the Malang City community, preventive efforts are needed so that it does not spread and reoccur.
This activity was attended by elements of the sub-district and village, as well as representatives of community organizations and community groups from various tribes living in Malang City. (ari/yon)
