Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – A total of 70 members of the Malang City Women's Organization Association (GOW) participated in the Training to Make Gifts at the Kartini Building, Malang City, Tuesday (25/7/2023). The training held by the Malang City Social, Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning Service (Dinsos P3AP2KB) was to increase skills and even as an effort to open up new business opportunities for housewives.

The Head of GOW Malang City, Yuni Arni when met on the sidelines of the training event revealed that today's women are required to be skilled, creative and independent. On the other hand, as a housewife according to the wife of the Regional Secretary of Malang City, it would be better if she could increase the family income.
The woman in hijab added that the business opportunity of making these gifts is still quite large because it is much needed by the community. Such as in a wedding, birthday and graduation gifts. "Utilizing the advancement of information technology, especially social media, this business opportunity is believed to have quite good prospects," she added.
"From this training, mothers will be more creative and can be expected to improve the economy. If mothers are skilled in making dowries, later they can have business opportunities and can increase economic power for families," explained Yuni.
The benefits of this training were felt by the participants, such as Ruly Narulita. According to her, although it was her first time participating in the training, she was optimistic that what she gained would bring great benefits to herself and others.
"We can improve our skills, secondly, hopefully this can become a business. And thirdly, hopefully we can spread it to others so that everyone can benefit from this training," explained the female administrator of the Aisiyah Regional Leadership (PDA) of Malang City.
Training like this is also expected to continue to be carried out routinely and sustainably so that women, especially GOW members, are more productive and competitive. And for training participants, it is also expected to pass on what they have gained to others so that it is also beneficial for the wider community. (say/yon)
