Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The State Civil Apparatus Information System (SIASN) from the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) of the Republic of Indonesia is an application that aims to integrate ASN data nationally, covering all Central Government Agencies and Regional Government Agencies. From this, the services of regional government institutions will be compared with other regions and even other countries, so that the performance of regional governments as public service institutions must continue to be improved.
This was conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji when giving a briefing in the Workshop on Accelerating Promotion Proposals Based on SIASN in the Malang City Government in 2023 at the Savana Hotel, Wednesday (26/7/2023).
Regarding the promotion process, the number one person in the Malang City Government requested that there be no more delays and incomplete documents. "Now everything is IT-based, so if it is not fast it will hinder the process," said Mayor Sutiaji.
From this condition, the bespectacled man appealed that various information from the center must be integrated and implemented properly. "Independence must continue to be strengthened, transparency and accountability must be prioritized," said the bespectacled man.
Furthermore, the Mayor of Malang said that the public's expectations of ASN are currently very high. The current stigma of society, ASN as public servants and serving the country must serve the community as shareholders of this country.
"The public also assumes that ASN understands all the problems in the country and when asking for anything, they must be able to answer and pamper the people. Public expectations are getting higher day by day. So the competence, knowledge and capacity of ASN must continue to be improved," explained Sutiaji.
No less important, Sutiaji emphasized that ASN's mindset must change because they are paid by the people. ASN must think scientifically, be smart and have skills in various fields. "To answer all of that, collaboration, synergy and mutual support are needed, and don't feel the most important. Basically, serving the country means serving yourself," concluded Sutiaji. (say/yon)
