However, these are like two sides of a coin. In addition to challenges, there are also great opportunities to enter the competition in the global market. This is where the role and importance of digitalization with its various advantages and disadvantages.
These are some of the things conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji when giving a speech at the 'Digifes BI Ngalam' event at the Malang KPPN Office, Jalan Merdeka Selatan, Sunday (30/7/2023). "If MSMEs and creative economy actors do not follow and implement technological advances, they will miss the train," said Sutiaji.
"The economy of this nation is also largely supported by MSMEs. The MSME sector also absorbs a large number of workers, so it greatly helps the government in reducing unemployment rates, especially open unemployment," he continued.
With the collaboration and facilitation from Bank Indonesia such as today's event, Mayor Sutiaji said that UMKM actors will continue to move up a class and have a great opportunity to enter the global market. "Regarding this, we are also ready to help and facilitate, and one of them is by utilizing the facilities at the Malang Creative Center (MCC)," he concluded. (say/yon)
