Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Plenary Meeting of the Malang City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) with the agenda of the Malang Mayor's Explanation of the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) Concerning the Formation and Composition of Regional Apparatus was held in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Malang City DPRD, Tuesday (1/8/2023).

This plenary meeting was based on several things, the first is Law No. 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation, the second is Presidential Regulation No. 78 of 2021 concerning the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and Government Regulation No. 6 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Business Licensing in the Regions.
Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko after attending the plenary meeting revealed that the regulation emphasizes that the regional apparatus that handles licensing must be independent and must not have other tasks or affairs.
"Well, coincidentally, the agency we currently have also handles other things, namely the Disnaker PMPTSP (Manpower, Investment and Integrated One-Stop Service Agency). Therefore, it must be adjusted to the provisions above it," added the man who is often called Bung Edi.
Secondly, the bespectacled man explained regarding the BRIN issue. "Well, we have something called the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) which has research and development. That is the field that we will later strengthen into research and innovation, so the draft regional regulation was submitted in this plenary meeting," he explained.
When asked whether there was an addition to the regional apparatus, Bung Edi said that in this case it was not. "The regional apparatus remains, but there are assignments in certain sections related to BRIN and in the field of manpower," he explained. (say/yon)
