Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The front fence of Malang City Hall was dismantled on Tuesday (1/8/2023) night and on Wednesday (2/8/2023). This was done to be linear and continuous with the construction of the Malang City Monument Square which is currently also being revitalized.
Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji said that when it is finished, when viewed from the front, it will be connected. "If viewed from the philosophy, the dismantling of the fence is because Malang City Hall is considered the people's house. So, it is hoped that it can be open, united between the community and officials," explained the number one person in the Malang City Government, Wednesday (02/08/2023).
If this fence is not dismantled, the bespectacled man said it was as if there was a boundary. Now we open it, so that a concept between the community and officials can be seen. "The fence of Malang City Hall will probably be removed completely, so that the landscape to the park is good," he explained.
Mayor Sutiaji emphasized that in terms of security, the demolition that had been carried out was safe. Because Malang City Hall belongs to the people and must be guarded by all citizens of Malang City.
"God willing, it's safe. Anticipation of the demonstrators later, there will still be a fence that can be opened and closed. But hopefully if there is a demonstration, it will not be anarchic. In this case, of course, we will collaborate with the TNI-Polri," concluded Sutiaji. (say/yon)
