Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Street Lighting (PJU) is a vital facility that is needed by residents and road users to support comfort and safety. In connection with this, the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Residential Areas Agency (DPUPRPKP) of Malang City is currently preparing a budget of around Rp2 billion for PJU repairs.

Head of DPUPRPKP Malang City, Dandung Djulharjanto, Friday (4/8/2023) revealed that the budget was used to repair several PJUs that were experiencing problems, such as on the Arjosari Flyover and Tunggulmas Bridge.
Meanwhile, regarding the PJU lights that are dead or missing, the bespectacled man said that in DPUPRPKP there is a team called the PJU Team which every day has someone on duty around, especially at night. This team is to monitor if there are PJU lights that are dead or experiencing problems, so that they can be handled immediately.
In addition, it is also to anticipate if there is information from the public that there is a PJU that is dead. "The PJU lights that are dead are caused by many things, especially technical constraints on the power lines. However, so far this has been repaired," explained Dandung.
"We have tried to replace it too and it is not because of theft. The dead light is not broken, if only the bulb is dead, it is just dead and we need to replace it immediately," he added.
When asked about the many lights on the Tunggulmas Bridge that were out, he said that there were no reports yet. The team from DPUPRPKP will also recheck as soon as possible.
"There has been no report received. When was it reported, then we fixed it. Later we will check there again. If there is something that needs to be replaced, we will do it immediately," concluded Dandung. (say/yon)
