Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The plenary meeting with the agenda of Submitting the Report on the Results of the Discussion of the Budget Agency (Banggar) of the Malang City DPRD Regarding the Draft Changes to the General Policy of the APBD and Changes to the Priorities and Temporary Budget Ceiling for the 2023 Fiscal Year was held in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Malang City DPRD, Wednesday (9/8/2023). In this plenary meeting, the spokesperson for the Budget Agency (Banggar) of the Malang City DPRD, H. Imron, read the report in front of the meeting participants.
After the plenary meeting, the Chairperson of the Malang City DPRD Budget Committee, I Made Riandiana Kartika, said that this plenary meeting was intended as a report on the implementation of the Banggar's duties, that one of its duties and authorities was to conduct discussions with the regional government budget team on the Draft Amendment to the KUA-PPAS submitted by the regional head.
"Meanwhile, the purpose of submitting the Budget Agency Discussion Results Report is to provide considerations for the Malang City DPRD in making decisions for Joint Approval of the Draft Amendment to the KUA and Amendment to the PPAS APBD for the 2023 Fiscal Year which have been submitted by the Malang City Government," he added.
As with the change in the regional revenue target from IDR 2.561.829.733.353 to IDR 2.373.865.854.707 or a decrease of IDR 187.963.878.646 and the realization of regional tax revenue which still reached 33% until July 2023, systematic and measurable efforts are needed with all parties involved in efforts to increase regional revenue.
Likewise, with the addition of regional spending allocation from Rp2.811.864.973.353 to Rp2.825.631.826.955 or Rp13.766.853.602 when compared to a significant decrease in revenue targets, this has the potential to cause a budget deficit. Therefore, the Budget Agency of the Malang City DPRD emphasized to the Malang City Government to improve the quality of budget management effectively and efficiently.
Regarding this, Malang Deputy Mayor Ir. H. Sofyan Edi who was present representing the Mayor of Malang said that the nine points that were suggestions, input from the criticism would be discussed and answered in the next plenary session.
