Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Until now, the number of children who are potentially stunted in the Oro-Oro Dowo Village, Klojen District is 11 children. Of that number, the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Malang City provided stunting prevention intervention efforts to three children by providing nutritious food.

They are Erik Faizan Manggala who lives on Jalan Muria IV/698 RW 04, Farah Mulya Ramdhania on Jalan Brigjen Slamet Riadi V/24 RW 04 and Faldiano who lives on Jalan Semeru RW 09.
Symbolically, the provision of nutritious food was carried out by the Head of Oro-Oro Dowo Village, Solikin, together with the ranks of the PMI Malang City management at the PMI Malang City Office, Wednesday (9/8/2023). Solikin said that his party will continue to synergize with various parties so that the stunting rate in his area will be zero in the near future so that it will create a healthy and competitive generation of the nation.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of PMI Malang City, Samsul Hadi said that his party deliberately provided direct assistance in the form of food, so that it could be consumed directly by the child. This food assistance will be given for one month and given every day, with the hope that later the three children will be free from stunting.
"This is one of the forms of PMI's concern for children who are potentially stunted, which is also to help the Government, especially the Malang City Government in its efforts to reduce the number of stunting as low as possible. We also invite various parties to care so that what the Mayor of Malang has planned for this city to be free from stunting can be realized soon," he added.
Although the provision of food assistance is only for one month, Samsul is optimistic that there will be significant changes for the three children. "Of course we have determined a menu that is suitable for children and with high nutrition, hopefully within one month there will definitely be results," he said confidently. (say/yon)
