Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The 2023 Malang City Decorated Village Competition has begun. This time the jury team conducted a field visit to assess the Malang City Decorated Village Competition in RW 3, Bandungrejosari Village, Sukun District, Malang City, Thursday (10/8/2023).
Head of RW 3, Bandungrejosari Village, Amin Tohari, said that the visit from the jury team further increased the enthusiasm of residents to build and improve the environment. "RW 3 Bandungrejosari has an area of 1.63 km2 and is inhabited by 987 families with a population of 3.112 people," explained Amin, Thursday (10/8/2023).
He added that there are many industrial centers in RW 3, Bandungrejosari Village, such as the racket and shuttlecock industry center, starting from making chicken eyes, stringing, to finishing into rackets in this place. Residents in this place have also developed urban farming by utilizing limited land for the development of the Sustainable Food House Area (KRPL). "In our area there are also residents who develop eyeglass businesses with raw materials from wood," said Amin.
Amin added, in the Bandungrejosari area there is also the Paguyuban Jati Gembol whose existence has been known to the national level. The Jati Gembol Community recently held Grebeg Suro to preserve the arts and culture in the Bandungrejosari area.
Meanwhile, in the field of arts and culture, RW 3, Bandungrejosari Village also has many activities in the 13 RTs, including the arts of leang leong, jaran kepang, bantengan, Macan Putih pencak silat, PSHT, PSHW whose members come from the RW 3 area of Bandungrejosari Village.
Meanwhile, Head of Government Section of Malang City Secretariat Drs. Fahmi Fauzan AZ, M.Si said the focus and purpose of the Decorated Village Competition is a form of appreciation from the Malang City Government, because whether there is a competition or not, the community always decorates their village independently every year. "Painting the berm, holding competitions, then installing pennants, that's what we appreciate," said Fahmi.
The various community activities are actually seen when going down to the field, so the enthusiasm of the residents when welcoming, commemorating and enlivening the Independence Day. "Because this always happens every year, whether there is an assessment or not, we hope to see various activities of residents in their respective areas," explained Fahmi.
Before conducting the assessment in RW 3, Bandungrejosari Village, the 2023 Kampung Berhias competition jury team had conducted assessments in several locations, including Arjowinangun Village, Kotalama Village, and Penanggungan Village. (cah/yon)
