Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji invited the administrators and members of the Community Empowerment Agency (BKM) from 57 sub-districts in five districts in Malang City to continue working well. With a high work ethic, transparency and accountability, it will contribute to the success of various development programs.
According to him, BKM is an important part and its role will have a great impact on all levels of society. BKM must be present for the people and will continue to oversee and fulfill what the community needs, so that progress and prosperity are created.
This was conveyed by the number one person in the Malang City Government during a gathering with BKM throughout Malang City at the Malang Mayor's Official Residence on Jalan Ijen No. 2 Malang City, Monday night (14/8/2023). So far, he said that the active role of BKM has been significant and in the future synergy and collaboration with various parties should be further enhanced.
The bespectacled man gave an example, the Slum-Free City (Kotaku) program, one of which is transforming slums into tourist destinations, in which there is also the role of BKM. Such as Kampung Warna Warni, Kampung Biru Arema, Kampung Kayutangan Heritage, and other thematic villages.
Furthermore, the Mayor of Malang requested that various programs that have been planned so far and more specifically related to budget use, be completed immediately this August or at the latest early September 2023. This is related to the end of the term of office of the Mayor of Malang on September 24, 2023.
From this condition, he hopes that various community empowerment programs will be completed before his term ends. "Let's finish our homework so far. If there are difficulties, you can consult with the relevant agencies or ranks in the Malang City Government, such as Assistants or Expert Staff," concluded Sutiaji. (say/yon)
