The target of the assistance provided is to increase the turnover and market share of MSMEs to be bigger and wider in the future, so that business actors are able to compete in the global market.

Head of Malang City Trade and Industry Office, Eko Sri Yuliadi after symbolically handing over the stimulus assistance said that the recipients of this assistance were business actors fostered by Trade and Industry Office. "They have been curated and meet a number of specified criteria, such as in the last six months their businesses have been running smoothly and are indeed worthy of receiving assistance," he explained.

He added, after receiving assistance, the Diskopindag will continue to provide intensive assistance and facilitation. For example, for product packaging, marketing to financial management. This assistance includes ovens or roasting tools, drying machines, sewing machines and product packaging.

"These touches are what are really needed by our UMKM friends. This means that improving the people's economy is our shared responsibility, namely the government, business actors, the council, and everyone. Including promotions later from our media friends are also needed to advance UMKM," added Eko.

Until now, from the data from the Malang City Diskopindag, there are around 5.000 micro-entrepreneurs. From that number, it will be gradually curated and those who are eligible to receive assistance like this will be given. "This assistance is also a form of the government being present when the community needs it," he explained.

The distribution of this aid was also welcomed positively by business people, such as Rukil Hutobah. The woman who is engaged in the flour-making business said she was happy because today she received assistance for product packaging tools. The resident of Kedungkandang Village is optimistic that her turnover will increase by 100 percent in the future because she really needs the tool.

"I think this is a very good impact, especially for business development. For example, if the production business is only small, with this assistance, it might be able to increase production capacity. So our reach can be wider to markets that are further away or even wider," concluded the woman in the hijab. (say/yon)
