Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – So far, the zoning system in New Student Admissions (PPDB) is still effective in creating equal distribution of education quality. This zoning system has a positive impact, because it is able to present real involvement from the government in equitable education.
This was conveyed by the Head of the Malang City Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud), Suwarjana, SE, MM, Tuesday (22/8/2023). One of the proofs, according to him, is that until now the government's presence is real in the system.
"If in the past we were familiar with the term smart, now we are developing a more inclusive zoning concept. The system provides opportunities for all levels of society, including those with diverse intelligence potential," added Suwarjana.
With the zoning system, both public and private schools become an option for all children regardless of intelligence level. "I believe that humans are born in this world must have different intelligence, and on the other hand must have specialties," he said.
He further said, however, we still need this zoning system. Because, the quality and quality of education is not good, not bad, but all are good. "There is no favorite, no non-favorite, but all are favorites. Those who favor a number of educational institutions may only be a part of society," explained Suwarjana.
The zoning system is still considered relevant considering the central government's plan to eliminate the system. However, Suwarjana admitted that he would still follow if the discourse was to be decided later.
"We believe that the plan will not be decided immediately, without any other solutions or policies as support. What is certain is that we want and hope for the best for our education world in the future," he concluded. (say/yon)
