Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Titled 'Journalist Review', the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) of Malang Raya held various competitions including table tennis, chess, and e-sports at the Gaperoma Building on Jl Bromo, Oro-Oro Dowo Village, Klojen District, Saturday (7/26/8).
82 journalists from various media platforms and professional organizations such as the Indonesian Television Journalists Association (IJTI) Malang, the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) Malang and the Indonesian Photojournalists Association (PFI) Malang enlivened this event.
In addition to enlivening the 78th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, this competition is also to strengthen the ties of friendship between media crews in Malang Raya. On the other hand, it is also hoped that this professional organization will produce competitive athletes so that in the future they can compete in professional events, such as the Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) and the National Sports Week (PON). In addition, also at the PWI sports festival, namely the National Journalist Sports Week (Porwanas).
Those are some of the things conveyed by the Head of PWI Malang Raya, Cahyono after the event. He added that this event will be an annual agenda because this year's implementation went smoothly and successfully. He also hopes that similar events can be held more lively and can be attended by more participants.
This joint sports competition also received appreciation from the Chairman of KONI Malang City, Djoni Sudjatmoko. According to him, events like this must be held routinely so that athletes also emerge from journalists. "We will certainly support and accommodate positive things like this," he said. (say/yon)
