The parade, which was attended by thousands of participants from various agencies, community organizations, and communities, illustrates the heterogeneity that is neatly woven in Bumi Arema. The people of Malang City consist of various tribes, ethnicities, cultures, and religions who can live side by side with high tolerance.

The happy faces of the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, together with the Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP, Widayati Sutiaji, dressed in traditional Batak clothing, appeared stunning in the cultural parade that took the route from the Kayutangan Heritage Area and finished on Jl Semeru, Malang City.

Malang Mayor Sutiaji said that through this parade, the public is reminded to love differences so that they do not become the root of national division. "We all want Indonesia to prosper, but the key is how we build unity and peace. This confirms the strong identity of the Indonesian nation," he said.

This cultural parade is one of the events that the public has been waiting for. Along the route starting from Kayutangan Heritage Area, Jalan Basuki Rahmat, Jalan Semeru to the Ijen Boulevard area, it was packed with tens of thousands of spectators of all ages who seemed enthusiastic about enjoying the parade. Not only local residents, there were also many local and foreign tourists who watched the parade. This proves that the event held is a magnet for tourists to visit Malang City.

The high enthusiasm of the community is an indication of the economic wheel turning at this event. Hundreds of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are sure to reap fortunes, from traditional clothing rental services, make-up, decoration, transportation to culinary on various scales.

"Through events like this, MSMEs will definitely run, there will definitely be a rotation of economic activities that occur. Of course we want to create something that has a positive impact on society," concluded the number one person in the Malang City Government. (ari/yon)
