Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, inaugurated the Tarbiyatul Hidayah Mosque of the Malang City Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) on Jl Veteran, Malang City, Friday (22/9/2023). Also present were the Regional Secretary of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso, the Head of the Malang City TP, Widayati Sutiaji, and the Head of the Malang City Education Office, Suwarjana.
Malang Mayor Sutiaji in his speech expressed his gratitude for being able to attend the inauguration and become the Friday prayer preacher at the Tarbiyatul Hidayah Mosque. "Alhamdulillah today I can inaugurate the Tarbiyatul Hidayah Mosque which is located in the Education Office environment," said Sutiaji, Friday (22/9).
He said that praying at home and in the mosque is different, both in terms of tranquility and solemnity. "That is what prompted us to renovate and build the mosque to be peaceful for the occupants and the surrounding community," said Sutiaji.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City Education and Culture Office, Suwarjana, said that the construction process of the Tarbiyatul Hidayah Mosque took quite a long time. "The Tarbiyatul Hidayah Mosque was built since 2019 with a self-funded budget from the extended family of the Malang City Education Office and also the community," said Suwarjana.
Tarbiyatul Hidayah Mosque is built on two floors with quite complete facilities and can accommodate around 500 people. This mosque is said to be allowed to be used by the general public, students, and college students. (cah/yon)
