Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The recitation of the Qur'an at the Baiturrohman Mosque, Malang City Hall, Friday (22/9/2023) was one of a series of activities leading up to the retirement of the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji and Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko with residents and religious figures in Malang City. The Sutiaji-Sofyan Edi pair will retire on September 24, 2023.
The existence of religious figures is very important for a region. Because, if community leaders and religious leaders can strengthen each other and cover each other's shortcomings, then a safe condition will be created. "So far, their existence has been quite good and has helped the Malang City Government in various aspects," said Mayor Sutiaji.
Meanwhile, the khotmil Qur'an or the completion of the Al-Qur'an is conveyed so that during the retirement period we always receive blessings from Allah SWT. In addition, this is also a step to get blessings from the holy book of the Qur'an so that what we do remains on track.
"No less important, reading the Qur'an often will bring many blessings and as a form of one's faith. If you want to learn more deeply, everything on this earth is in the Qur'an, such as manners of social interaction, prohibitions on slander, procedures for worship and others," explained the bespectacled man,
In addition to expressing gratitude, Malang Mayor Sutiaji also apologized to the participants of the Qur'an recitation and all religious and community leaders in Malang City. "No human being is perfect and has no sins. Any term of office must have its limits. However, even though I am no longer the Mayor of Malang, communication and brotherhood will continue," he concluded. (say/yon)
