Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol) of Malang City accommodates the Aremania community to hold joint prayers and various social service activities which will be held on Sunday (1/10/2023). This moment is to commemorate one year of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy which at that time claimed 135 lives and hundreds of injuries.
The activity plan has been reviewed and analyzed so that it is expected to provide benefits for anyone who participates. Bakesbangpol as a facilitator hopes that the activity can be beneficial for the Bumi Arema community.
This was conveyed by the Head of the National Alertness and Conflict Handling Division of the Malang City Bakesbangpol, Ade Herawanto, after a coordination meeting with a number of Aremania at his office, Tuesday (26/9/2023).
"The activity will involve the Interfaith Harmony Forum (FKUB), the Arema Curva Sud and d'Kross communities, Malang City Police, Wajak Husada Hospital, and other agencies," added Ade.
The bespectacled man explained that his party would hold a joint prayer on Saturday (30/9/2023) evening, then on Sunday (1/10/2023) there would be social services, mass circumcision, blood donation, free medical treatment and assistance.
Ade added that the activity was intended for the general public. However, for the mass circumcision activity, priority was given to the families of the victims of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy. "If there is still a quota, other than the families of the victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy, we welcome it," he explained.
Meanwhile, the head of the committee, Ari Susanto, said that the event will be held on Jalan Pattimura in front of Store Aggregate 87 Malang City. "Later on Saturday we will start at 18.30 WIB for a joint prayer, then on Sunday we will start the event at 09.00 WIB," he explained.
The man who is familiarly called Ambon hopes that through this activity, synergy and harmonious social relations can be realized among communities and the people of Malang Raya. "Arek Malang is not only about football but also socializing," he concluded. (say/yon)
