Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – This October is expected to enter the rainy season. For that, disaster mitigation needs to be carried out to ensure that when the rainy season arrives, unwanted things do not happen.

That was what the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City conveyed in his direction while leading the morning assembly of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the front yard of Malang City Hall, Monday (2/10/2023). "Especially for friends in the sub-districts, urban villages, related regional apparatuses such as BPBD, other units, and residents must anticipate," explained Erik.
He added that one of the mitigations can be done by intensifying community service, especially in areas prone to waterlogging. "With community service focused there, it is certainly hoped that there will be no blockages in the water channels that can cause rainwater overflow," Erik explained.
Mitigation steps, he said, must be started as soon as possible. "Likewise with friends in the field who have a lot of infrastructure activities. DPUPRPKP, DLH or PDAM, excavation compaction must be carried out optimally so as not to cause problems in the future. Do not let the excavation that is not compacted cause the land to collapse and be detrimental," said Erik.
In addition to anticipating the arrival of the rainy season, in this morning's roll call, Regional Secretary Erik also gave a message regarding discipline and supervision of ASN performance which must be further improved to achieve good and quality service to the community. (cah/yon)
