Malang City (malangkota.go.id) – The echo of the political year has rumbled in various regions and Malang City is no exception. Along with this, campaign props such as billboards from legislative candidates to the president are scattered in various points. Not infrequently the installation of these campaign props violates the rules, for example, they are installed in the wrong place and the permit has expired.

In relation to this, the Malang City Government will conduct an order and even give sanctions to those who commit violations. Regardless of all that, coordination will still be carried out with the relevant political parties and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu).
This was conveyed by the Head of Satpol PP of Malang City, Heru Mulyono, Thursday (12/10/2023). He said that his party would gather political parties and had submitted a report to the leadership. "We will follow the direction, whether Satpol PP or the duties and functions of the National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol). We will immediately coordinate intensively later," said Heru.
The Satpol PP also provides an opportunity for the political parties concerned to regulate advertisements that are considered to violate the rules. In this case, the implementation of advertisements has been regulated in the Regional Regulation (Perda) of Malang City Number 2 of 2022.
"We will reach an agreement with the political parties, whether they will discipline their members first or will let Satpol PP take action. If the legislative candidate's photo is printed on the advertisement, we will give a direct warning to the person concerned," Heru added.
Of course, with the actions that will be taken by the Malang City Satpol PP, it is hoped that it can create a more orderly situation and in accordance with the rules in facing the campaign period for the 2024 Legislative Election (Pileg). (say/yon)
