Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – Tunjungsekar Village invites children with disabilities to make ceramic crafts to help them become more creative. The participants were seen enjoying the ceramic making training activity opened by the Secretary of Tunjungsekar Village, Pandu Rizki Darmawan, Thursday (12/10/2023).

Head of Community Empowerment Section of Tunjungsekar Village, Dian Safitri, said that the purpose of this training activity is an effort to improve the motoric sensors of children with disabilities. The activity is packaged in a fun atmosphere so that children with disabilities want to be actively involved in it.
"Friends with disabilities can freely choose, learn to form ceramics or paint their vases. They are all given companions so that the results can be maximized," explained Dian.
This ceramic making training activity was attended by 15 participants, consisting of five disabled people who were accompanied by their respective mentors so that when they returned home they could still learn together as well as five representatives of institutions in Tunjungsekar Village.
"This activity also helps children with disabilities to dare to socialize because they tend to be closed off. So through ceramic making training, in addition to improving motor sensors, it is expected to help them be more confident," explained Dian.
Dian further explained that inclusive training for disabilities is routinely held every year in Tunjungsekar Village with different themes. This activity is attended by people with deaf, down syndrome and blind disabilities.
"From this activity, it is possible to help children with disabilities become entrepreneurs. But it will be seen further how their hobbies are," explained Dian.
Meanwhile, Tunjungsekar Sub-District Secretary, Pandu Rizki Darmawan said that through this training activity, it is hoped that communication with the community, including friends with disabilities, can be further improved. He also hopes that in the future this activity will continue to be strengthened so that it continues to run sustainably.
"We are grateful that this activity received tremendous support from the participants and also the mentors. This is very good to be able to help friends with disabilities to be able to actualize themselves," he concluded. (cah/yul)
