Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – In order to combat the distribution and abuse of narcotics, the Malang Raya Branch Leadership Council (DPC) of the National Anti-Narcotics Generation (GANN) held an Anti-Narcotics Declaration at the Sasana Krida Building, Malang State University, Thursday (12/10/2023).
Expert Staff for Development, Public Welfare and Human Resources, Drs. Alie Mulyanto, MM who was present representing the Acting Mayor of Malang expressed his appreciation and support for the work programs that will be and have been implemented by GANN Malang Raya.
"Collaboration is needed to protect children and families from the dangers of drugs. This activity is an effort, a joint step in facing the drug problem that is destroying the young generation and the future of the nation," explained Alie.
Alie further said that in the future there will be further coordination as an effort to support the eradication of drugs in Malang City. He hopes that strengthening collaboration in combating drugs can be synergistic and sustainable.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the National Anti-Narcotics Generation (GANN) of East Java, Linasrillah Nurus Subhi (Gus Anas) said that the Anti-Narcotics Declaration carries the theme Towards an Advanced Indonesia Without Narcotics.
"Fighting drugs is a joint effort, there is no interest in showing off each other. Drugs cannot be destroyed as long as there are still buyers, so it is our joint task to educate the younger generation about the dangers of drugs. So that we can create a golden generation free of drugs," he explained.
With strong commitment and cooperation, it is expected to realize a more advanced Indonesia that is free from the threat of drugs. GANN synergizes with local governments and various elements to strive to combat, eradicate, and prevent the distribution and abuse of narcotics. This is the main focus in the fight against drugs in Malang Raya.
The Anti-Drug Declaration began with the handover of the flag from the East Java GANN DPD to the Malang Raya GANN DPC and the reading of the Anti-Drug Movement declaration from all administrators of the Malang Raya GANN DPC. The activity was attended by the Danlanal Malang, the Malang Regional Government and Development Coordination Agency (Bakorwil), the Malang City Forkopimda, the Malang Regency Forkopimda, the Batu City Forkopimda, the East Java Province National Narcotics Agency (BNN), representatives of religious figures, community organizations and Malang Raya Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
