Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Some time ago, the Malang City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) proposed a salary increase for honorary employees or Operational Activity Support Personnel (TPOK) within the Malang City Government. This increase refers to the amount of the City/Regency Minimum Wage of Rp3.2 million, while the current honorary salary is Rp2.940.000, -.
Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM when met on Friday (13/10/2023) said that his party would still consider the proposal. Basically, according to him, the proposal is very good, but he must coordinate first.
Wahyu said that his party will involve the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD). "It could be increased later, because we haven't discussed it yet. Well, the legislature proposed it, meaning it has gone through calculations. We will discuss the calculations together with TAPD and we will see what the possibilities are and what the concept is," he explained.
In this case, Wahyu also highlighted the importance of salary increases that are in line with performance improvements. Because, it is one of the aspects that will receive attention in the discussion with TAPD later. "In addition, evaluation of Regional Original Income (PAD) will also be part of the considerations to ensure budget availability," he explained.
"Our PAD will also be evaluated, to what extent it can be sufficient. We will try to see until November what our PAD capacity is like. Because later it will affect the amount of existing regional spending," Wahyu added.
For the record, Wahyu also saw that currently the 2023 APBD PAD target is still around 60 percent of the target of Rp1,5 trillion. Therefore, regarding this matter, his party will communicate further with the legislative as the proposer of the plan to increase honorary salaries. "The point is that we will consider the proposal.
