Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – The 2023 Clean, Healthy, Beautiful, Asri and Tidy Village Competition (Bersinar) has entered the assessment stage. This time the Kampung Bersinar Competition Jury Team conducted a field visit to RW VII, Cemorokandang Village, Kedungkandang District, Malang City, Wednesday (18/10/2023).

One of the Jury Team for the Shining Village Competition, Mohammad Ridwan, STP, MM, said that the presence of the jury team in RW VII, Cemorokandang Village was to see firsthand the conditions in the field and the level of understanding of residents regarding environmental sustainability which is one of the indicators of city development.
"To realize good and healthy environmental development, it is necessary to develop environmental generations through measurable management, as reflected in the Shining Village Competition which involves the role of the community consistently and sustainably," said Ridwan.
Ridwan said that several indicators for assessing this competition include waste management, green open space (RTH) management, community empowerment and participation, and water and energy conservation.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City Environmental Service (DLH), Noer Rahman Wijaya, ST, MM said that the 2023 Shining Village Competition had been assessed since October 9, 2023. Previously, the socialization of the Shining Village Competition had been carried out in June 2023.
He said, in addition to the Cemorokandang Sub-district area, today the assessment was also carried out in the Wonokoyo and Sawojajar areas. "The 2023 Shining Village Competition activity was attended by all sub-districts in Malang City. Through this activity, it is hoped that the understanding, skills, and attitudes and behavior of the community to care for and have an environmental culture can increase," Rahman hoped.
Therefore, according to him, knowledge, insight, values of concern, attitudes, and behaviors that are environmentally cultured must continue to be developed. "Hopefully, a society that cares and has an environmental culture will be realized, and creativity and innovation in the field of environmental preservation can be developed," he concluded. (cah/yon)
