Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The National Dialogue entitled 'Towards a Comfortable and Highly Competitive Klojen District and Malang City' was held at the Savana Hotel, Malang City, Monday (23/10/2023). Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM, Chairman of the Malang City DPRD I Made Riandiana Kartika, and Kasdim 0833/Malang City Mayor Arm Chaerul Efendi were present as resource persons on this occasion.
Acting Mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the residents of Klojen District for playing an active role in maintaining the condition of Malang City, including now entering a political year. "We welcome this national dialogue activity initiated by Klojen District," said Wahyu.
On this occasion, Wahyu emphasized the importance of strengthening national values, considering that Malang City is a miniature of Indonesia with the diversity and plurality of its citizens. Because with a strong understanding of national insight, according to him, it will be stronger to maintain the integrity of the nation and save the Indonesian nation from threats and divisions.
"Therefore, I hope that the Klojen District apparatus as an extension of the Malang City Government must be able to provide an understanding to the community about national insight. Namely, placing a correct perspective on a difference, as reflected in the phrase Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Tan Hana Dharma Mangrwa which emphasizes that differences may exist but remain one, and devotion is only for the country," he said.
By establishing a common goal in maintaining national insight, Wahyu said it would certainly bring harmony and peace. Through strengthening the sense of mutual respect and appreciation between one community and another, it will later increase unity, revival and growth of all development sectors in Malang City.
On this occasion, the Acting Mayor also advised that the essence of national insight must be implemented in the 2024 Simultaneous Elections. For this reason, the number one person in the Malang City Government expects hard work, smart work and sincere work from all Klojen District officials in encouraging public participation in the 2024 Simultaneous Elections so that they can run successfully.
Meanwhile, Klojen Sub-district Head Heri Sunarko said the national dialogue was divided into three sessions with a total of 500 participants. "Today, 170 participants consisting of LPMK, BKM, Babhinsa, Babinkamtibmas, Environmental Cadres, Karang Wreda and also from Scouts," said Heri.
This activity was held to motivate the community to be more active in doing the best for the environment, nation and state. "So far in the Klojen District area, the security and public order has been good, during the Covid pandemic, the number of people affected was also the lowest, the stunting rate was also the lowest. What is already good must be maintained and improved," concluded Heri. (cah/yon)
