Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Local Original Income (PAD) is the lifeblood because it is a source of financing and development for the region. Therefore, optimization is a must so that development implementation runs well. There must be real data in the last five years so that it can be known which sectors are potential and which must be optimized.
This was conveyed by the Acting Mayor of Malang, Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM when opening and becoming a resource person for the Assistance activity of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) of East Java Province in Efforts to Optimize Regional Original Income in Malang City in 2023 at the Savana Hotel, Malang City, Wednesday (25/10/2023).
Wahyu said that from the revenue projection as of October 2023, the achievement of PAD for Malang City for regional taxes was 58,56 percent, regional levies 68,22 percent, management of separated regional assets 22,11 percent and other legitimate PAD 82,13 percent.
"So it's only effective for one and a half months. Hopefully, with this event, we can boost it. Earlier, I also asked that related to the regional apparatus (PD) that produces, both taxes and levies. I will assess the target, because in my opinion it is still very slow," he added.
Some of the obstacles have been conveyed and hopefully within the next month they can be minimized. "The efforts made by the producing PD will later be one of my assessments of performance. We will see and evaluate this later," he explained.
If it is not achieved by the end of the year and the percentage is still high, Wahyu emphasized that a performance evaluation will be carried out and a letter has been made. "The efforts and solutions made include breakthroughs, if there are no such efforts, it means that their performance will be evaluated. These ASN receive performance allowances, so there must be creativity and innovation," he explained. (say/yon)
