Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – Clay Game Studio, a game development studio company based in Griyashanta, Mojolangu Village, Lowokwaru District, Malang City, on September 28, 2023, successfully released their latest game, Faerie Afterlight on the Steam and Nintendo Switch platforms.
Game Designer, Programmer, Project Manager Clay Game Studio, Ilham Hasymi Effendi said that this game previously had a first prototype that was made in 2018. However, it was only really developed seriously in 2020 with the help of the Indigo Game Startup Incubation (IGSI) program.
Ilham revealed that it was through IGSI that Clay Game Studio finally met an American publisher named Mastiff Games who was interested in publishing the Faerie Afterlight game. "Starting with our prototype titled The Lightseeker, we brought this game to Level Up KL in Malaysia and the GTR Pre-Acceleration Program in Thailand, we got useful feedback and knowledge. After returning from the event, we upgraded the prototype and changed the title to Faerie Afterlight," he explained, Thursday (26/10/2023).
Ilham said that the Faerie Afterlight game was inspired by Indonesian philosophy and folk art. In addition, it was also inspired by many other games such as Hollow Knight, Ori Series, Gris, Rayman, Super Marian and others. Currently, Faerie Afterlight has been widely played by gamers around the world. 30 percent of users of this game come from the United States.
For your information, the Faerie Afterlight game itself is sold on the market at an original price of US $ 20. However, with regional prices, in Indonesia the price is only Rp119.999. In Faerie Afterlight, players will play as Kimo and Wispy who are friends and work together to collect fragments of light scattered in the world called Lumina.
On their journey, they will meet friends and enemies and various challenges before they finally meet Kradyrev, the evil spirit who destroys the light of Lumina. In this game, there is a unique feature that on many occasions, we can control enemies or the environment around us to defeat enemies or solve puzzles at a level.
