Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Health Office (Dinkes) held a Workshop on Increasing the Competency Capacity of Posyandu Cadres Center of Excellence (CoE) and Health Workers of Malang City Health Centers in 2023 at the Savana Hotel, Malang City, Thursday (26/10/2023). This activity is expected to provide leverage for the implementation of optimal Posyandu services, at the Savana Hotel, Thursday (26/10).

The head of the event committee, Andi Januar, said that Posyandu CoE is a pilot posyandu where the health center chooses one posyandu in its area. "Posyandu CoE is to maximize services to the community throughout the life cycle, so that in the future it can play a more optimal role in improving the health of the community," explained Andi, Thursday (26/10).
Posyandu CoE, Andi said, is not only for toddlers and the elderly, but its services are comprehensive in accordance with the mandate of the Ministry of Health so that Posyandu serves everyone from pregnant women to the elderly. "Yesterday, October 4-5, 2023, there was also a competition, and now it is also announced regarding this Posyandu CoE," explained Andi.
The workshop participants came from 16 Posyandu from representatives of 16 Puskesmas in Malang City. Posyandu CoE is a Posyandu that has undergone special coaching in terms of administration and service activities according to the guidelines of the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
Andi said that the resource persons for this workshop were from Airlangga University and from the Malang City Health Office from the nutrition section. The hope from this activity is that the capacity of the posyandu cadres who are trained from today until the end of 2023 can increase. "The training will be held for three months, this is in accordance with the request of the Indonesian Ministry of Health," explained Andi.
The participants of this activity were 128 participants where those who held the Posyandu CoE were all participants whose posyandu was appointed. Meanwhile, related to Posyandu Cadres in Malang City itself, there are 625. "In Malang City, there are 16 Posyandus appointed by Posyandu CoE, with participants of around 20 cadres per posyandu, the total is around 320 cadres," explained Andi. (cah/yon)
