Malang City Health Office Fosters Asman Group in Utilization of Toga and Skills

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In an effort to improve the health of the community through community empowerment, the Malang City Health Service (Dinkes) held an Independent Care (Asman) Development activity for the Utilization of TOGA (Family Medicine Garden) and Skills at the Savana Hotel, Malang City, Thursday (26/10/23).

This coaching activity is one of the efforts made so that individuals in families, groups or communities can independently maintain and improve health and prevent and overcome minor health problems by utilizing TOGA and skills so that healthy families are achieved.

Head of Sub-Coordination of Sub-Substance of Traditional Health Services of Malang City Health Office, dr. Ella Nurilla Sari said that the implementation of Independent Care in the community needs to be carried out in a tiered and continuous manner. Therefore, in its development, it is necessary to organize activities to increase the capacity of personnel, resources, institutions, as well as provide socialization and facilitation.

"The purpose of this socialization is to evaluate the activities of the Independent Care Group for TOGA Utilization that has been formed and has a Village Decree and to increase participants' knowledge in utilizing TOGA," he said.

It is hoped that with this activity, the development of TOGA can be maximized so that in the future the people of Malang City will be able to be independent in meeting their health needs and the community will be able to utilize TOGA according to its functions and benefits.

"The results we expect from this coaching are the realization of traditional health services according to standards, the realization of community empowerment in independent care, and the implementation of coaching and supervision of traditional health services on a regular basis," he explained.

On this occasion, several representatives of the Asman group explained about the programs and activities in each Asman TOGA group so that it is expected to encourage, mobilize, educate and motivate the community to have and utilize TOGA and skills for independent care correctly. (vin/yon)
