Disporapar & Kemenparekraf Recognize the Important Role of Media

Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Intense and integrated collaboration and communication between the central and regional governments is one of the keys to boosting regional potential and advancing various other sectors. No exception in the field of tourism and the creative economy (parekraf) which are important factors in the current era.

Dissemination of Crisis Communication Guidelines to the Media

In addition, good cooperation with the mass media is also a determinant so that what is produced or programmed by the government is known to the public. Together with the media, the government can also respond to issues that develop in society to straighten out negative issues that can arise at any time.

These are some of the things conveyed by the Head of the Communication Bureau of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) I Gusti Ayu Dwi Hendriyani at the Socialization of Crisis Communication Guidelines for the Media at the Grand Mercure Malang Mirama Hotel, Thursday (26/10/2023).

According to her, the government must partner with the media crew because the flow of information is currently very fast and developing rapidly. What happens in the regions in a matter of seconds will definitely be known by the central government. "This is where the role of the regional government or related parties in the regions is to provide answers or clarification so that the public knows the real facts," added Ayu.

A number of statements were agreed by the Head of the Destination and Tourism Industry Division of the Youth, Sports and Tourism Agency (Disporapar) of Malang City, Lita Irawati, SH, M.AP. She said that in Malang City, cooperation between the government, including Disporapar, and the media has been well established.

"From all of that, various tourism potentials, especially culinary, event tourism and artificial tourism are published maximally. Like the latest Kayutangan Heritage Village which is visited by many domestic and foreign tourists," explained Lita.

The woman in the hijab added that Kayutangan Heritage Village was also included in the 75 Indonesian Tourism Village Awards (ADWI) in 2023 given by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Kayutangan Village is also included in the top five creative digital villages. "This is certainly a source of pride for Malang City, and this achievement cannot be separated from the role of the media," explained Lita.

"Malang City does not have natural tourist destinations, so to attract tourists we optimize the existing potential. Such as culinary, event tourism, and artificial tourism. What we do is quite effective and tourist visits have increased significantly. In 2022, there were 2.749.783 domestic tourists, 8.455 foreign tourists. Until September 2023, domestic tourist visits were 1.866.116 and foreign tourists were 37.400," concluded Lita. (say/yon)
