Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Providing a forum for channeling hobbies, developing creativity, and preserving culture, the Ngalam Media Center Community held a Javanese dance, kebaya, and cosplay competition entitled 'Yawadwipa Bhayangkara' at the Malang Creative Center (MCC) Malang City, Friday (26/10/2023) to Sunday (29/10/2023).

Ngalam Media Center Chairman, Y. Lukman Adiwinoto, said that the activities at the MCC brought the spirit of art and culture to become hosts and guardians in Java, along with the theme of Yawadwipa Bhayangkara which means the last defense fortress. "Participants who have registered until today are 80 participants, both individuals and groups from various regions in East Java," explained Lukman, Friday (27/10/2023).
Lukman said that initially this activity was intended for the Malang Raya area only, but it turned out that many participants from various areas of East Java also registered. "This exceeded our expectations," said Lukman enthusiastically.
With the large number of participants, it is hoped that not only will art and culture be lifted, but also the pulse of the economy will also be affected. "Participants who come here certainly need to eat, stay, buy souvenirs, and also travel. This will certainly bring many multiple effects that can revive the people's economy," said Lukman.
Seeing the great enthusiasm of the participants, Lukman said that he would schedule this activity as an annual event with the hope that it can spur artists to be more enthusiastic in creating to advance the nation through culture. (cah/yon)
