Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Investment Ambassador Selection event led by the Malang City Manpower, Investment and Integrated One-Stop Service (Disnaker-PMPTSP) at the Malang Creative Center (MCC) building, Malang City, Friday (27/10/2023) received appreciation from the Chairperson of Commission A of the Malang City DPRD, Rachman Nurmala.
He said that these Investment Ambassadors will certainly be very helpful for Malang City in increasing regional competitiveness which is important for growing the economy. "Therefore, many institutions and investors need to come in," added Nurmala.
According to him, the potentials in Malang City need to be promoted in order to attract investors. Through the Disnaker-PMPTSP, there are already programs, but with the presence of Investment Ambassadors, they become representatives, especially from among young people who have a broad view of the future to be able to help promote the advantages of Malang City.
"From this step, many investors will be attracted, not only from within the country but also from abroad. Therefore, these Investment Ambassadors must be optimized. I saw earlier that they have quite good knowledge and abilities, but they must continue to be added," said Nurmala.
Furthermore, this middle-aged man revealed that Malang City has an investment target of Rp1,5 trillion. However, this City of Education does not have an industrial area, so what can be sold is the service and trade sectors. "Many 5-star hotels have emerged, various culinary and creative economies that have 17 sub-sectors are their own potential," he explained.
Of all that, including the existence of thematic villages, such as Kayutangan Heritage and the conduciveness of the area, he said, they would complement each other to encourage and attract investment into Malang City.
Responding to this, the Head of the Malang City Manpower and PMPTSP Office, Arif Tri Sastyawan, expressed his gratitude for the support from the council. According to him, with support from various parties, especially from the DPRD, everything will run well.
Regarding the Investment Ambassador, Arif said that all of his/her abilities will be maximized to promote the potential of Malang City well. "Not only promoting what is the investment potential, this Investment Ambassador is also obliged to provide counseling to prospective investors regarding the mechanism and process of investing in Malang City," concluded Arif.
