Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – Taking place lively, the Madyopuro Village Nusantara Cultural Parade was attended by 135 RTs from 18 RWs with a total of 4.000 participants. The Nusantara Cultural Parade was directly launched by the Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM, Sunday (29/10/2023).
Acting Mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat in his speech expressed his appreciation for the holding of this cultural parade. "This activity is also an activity to welcome the political constellation in 2024 to jointly maintain the conduciveness in Malang City," said Wahyu.
He added that the cultural parade is one of the efforts to preserve the original Indonesian arts and culture. "If we don't teach it, of course the younger generation will follow the development of the modern world more, so they prefer to follow foreign cultures. We are obliged to preserve and be proud of the diversity of Indonesian culture," said Wahyu.
Meanwhile, Madyopuro Village Head Bambang Setijono said that the Nusantara Cultural Parade was a celebration of the Madyopuro community which was originally going to be held last August, but due to various considerations it was finally held today. "The Nusantara Cultural Parade is part of commemorating Youth Pledge Day," explained Bambang.
The Madyopuro Village Nusantara Cultural Parade showcased beautiful creations. In addition to the Acting Mayor of Malang, the Head of the Malang City Disporapar Baihaqi, the Chairperson of the Malang City DPRD I Made Riandiana Kartika, and also a member of the Malang City DPRD Amithya Ratnanggani Sirraduhita were present on this occasion.
