Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – 116 Families at Risk of Stunting (KRS) in Lesanpuro Village, Kedungkandang District received food assistance at the Lesanpuro Village Office, Monday (30/10/2023).
Head of Government, Security and Order Section of Lesanpuro Village, Setyo Budi Utomo, SE revealed that this food assistance is a program of the National Food Agency (Bapanas). "Assistance is provided to prevent children at risk of stunting from experiencing stunting. Assistance is provided in the form of one chicken and 10 eggs," explained Setyo, Monday (30/10/2023).
The KRS assistance distributed in Lesanpuro Village is the second time. The amount distributed has also increased from the amount of assistance distributed previously, which was 106 packages. "Lesanpuro currently has zero stunting, but the risk of stunting still exists. This means that the baby's weight is still low," explained Setyo.
Setyo added that this aid package is not only aimed at children at risk of stunting, but is also given to pregnant women as an early preventive measure.
One of the residents who received aid, Ani Bustami, said she was grateful for the food aid. She said that she currently has a small child who still needs a lot of nutrition.
Ani admitted that her children had difficulty eating some time ago, but they were willing to eat chicken and eggs and there were no obstacles. "Thankfully today we received assistance with chicken and eggs again, this is very helpful in meeting the children's nutritional needs. Hopefully it can bring blessings," said Ani. (cah/yon)
