Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – To increase the insight of fish farmers in the Purwantoro area, Purwantoro Village together with a team from the Public Service Agency for the Management of Marine and Fisheries Business Capital (BLU LPMUKP) conducted outreach at the RW 9 Education Garden, Purwantoro Village, Friday (3/11/2023).

Present on this occasion were the Head of Purwantoro Village, Dwi Cahyono, ST, MT, PPL Fisheries from the Malang City Agriculture and Food Security Agency, Anas Setyawan, a team from the BLU LPMUKP and fish farmers from the Purwantoro Village area.
Purwantoro Village Head Dwi Cahyono said that this activity is an educational event for fish farmers and fishery business actors in the Purwantoro area to increase their insight. "If so far the business that has been run is more because of a hobby and is still a side job, we hope that in the future it can continue to grow to become an industry," Dwi hoped.
On this occasion, knowledge was also provided regarding access to capital that is very much needed in business development and the use of technology to develop cultivation results on limited land. "Currently in Malang City, the availability of land is very limited. In the future, apart from fish cultivation, what needs to be improved in Purwantoro is the manufacture of processed fish products," explained Dwi.
According to Dwi, in Malang City, the target market is very good, because there are many tourists, students from outside the region who are studying, and workers in Malang City can be a promising market. That is why various education must continue to be carried out for business improvement and development, including in the fisheries sector.
On this occasion, participants also received socialization related to the financing of revolving funds that are assisted by UMKM actors in the marine and fisheries sector from BLU LPMUKP. It is hoped that fisheries business actors can understand the ease of loans with low interest rates and easy collateral. (cah/yon)
