Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Arema FC officially introduced Bolivian player, Gilbert Alvarez to fill the front line of the Singo Edan team in the 1/2023 BRI Liga 2024 competition.
In the remaining 1/2023 BRI Liga 2024 competition, the recruitment of Gilbert Alvarez is expected to improve Arema FC's performance, especially since the team with the lion's head logo is currently concentrating on moving out of the relegation zone.
"We congratulate Gilbert Alvarez who officially wears the Arema FC uniform in the 1/2023 BRI Liga 2024 competition," said Arema FC General Manager, Muhammad Yusrinal Fitriandi, Saturday (25/11/2023).
Gilbert Alvarez came to Arema FC with a positive record. He is a sharp striker as proven by his collection of goals. Last season Gilbert Alvarez scored eight goals with Palmaflorz which is a Bolivian League 1 club.
Gilbert Alvarez's most impressive record was when he scored 23 goals in 45 games for Jorge Wilstermann. He also led his club to win the Bolivian Clausura League.
Gilbert also made a good record in the Bolivian National Team. He recorded a total of 30 caps and scored three goals in the period 2009-2021.
"We are quite optimistic that the inclusion of Gilbert Alvarez in the team composition will be able to improve Arema FC's achievements," he said confidently.
Similarly, Arema FC Team Manager, Wiebie Dwi Andriyas is confident that the entry of new players will bring a positive impact to the team in the future. "We are optimistic, in the future Arema must record positive results," he said.
Responding to the joining of Gilbert Alvarez which was considered close to the competition schedule after the break, Arema FC coach Fernando Falente admitted that there was no problem related to adaptation. "I don't think there is a problem, the adaptation may only be a different day from Julian (Julian Guevara), we continue to try hard to be able to show the best performance," he said.
Previously, Arema FC recruited Julian Guevara who was introduced on Thursday (16/11/2023). Meanwhile, Gilbert Alvarez will join the Arema FC team in Bali in preparation for the match against Persik Kediri which will be held at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium on Monday (27/11/2023). (say/yon)
