Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Increasing literacy for early childhood continues to be encouraged by various parties. One of them is what the Community Reading Park (TBM) of Tidar Literacy Park did by holding a storytelling, poetry reading and coloring competition which was attended by 50 children in the RW VII Karangbesuki area, Sukun District, Malang City, Saturday (25/11/2023).

Head of TBM Taman Literasi Tidar, Wiwik Supriyanti said this activity was the result of collaboration with students of the Library Science Department of Malang State University (UM). "This activity was carried out in order to introduce TBM Taman Literasi Tidar as a recreational facility and a place to use free time constructively for the community," she said.
Wiwik explained that the various competitions held were an effort to foster children's interest in reading and to develop creative and expressive abilities. Not only training the courage and self-confidence of the participants, Wiwik also hopes that through this activity parents can explore the potential of children in the RW VII Kel. Karangbesuki environment.
"Hopefully with the existence of this TBM, various positive and beneficial activities can be carried out especially for early childhood starting from kindergarten (TK) to elementary school (SD)," he concluded. (iu/yon)
