Wahyu Hidayat, MM attended and opened the Lokasabha X Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia (PHDI) Malang City at the Ubud Hotel & Cottage Malang City (26/11/2023). On this occasion, the Acting Mayor of Malang was accompanied by Assistant I for Government and Public Welfare of the Malang City Regional Secretariat Ida Ayu Made Wahyuni, Head of the National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol) Dra. Rinawati, MM, and Sukun Sub-district Head IK Widi E. Wirawan, S.Sos, MM.,
In his speech, the number one person in the Malang City Government expressed his gratitude. According to Wahyu, Lokasabha is a very important and strategic forum, especially for the PHDI Malang City organization itself. However, more than that, Lokasabha is not only important for the internal PHDI but also important for the sustainability of Malang City development.
"Congratulations on the holding of this Lokasabha. I also thank PHDI, and the Head of PHDI Malang City, Dr. Putu, who for the past two terms has established good cooperation and synergy with the Malang City Government, especially related to religious and development levels in Malang City," he said.
In order to support the synergy, Wahyu said that his party has continued to try to support PHDI as a forum for Hindus in Malang City. "We continue to synergize. For the assistance desired by PHDI, we continue to try to realize it, not only related to institutions but also about places of worship. God willing, the plan is to build two temples in the near future," he said.
Wahyu further gave a special message regarding the upcoming 2024 Simultaneous Democratic Party considering that the participation of religious institutions is very much needed. Therefore, he hopes that PHDI can actively participate and can motivate Hindus, especially those in Malang City, to always maintain conduciveness and make the 2024 Peaceful Election in Malang City a success.
"We ask to maintain conduciveness related to the 2024 Democratic Party. We also ask young PHDI cadres in Malang City to actively participate in the 2024 Election," he concluded. (iu/yon)
