Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM attended the 'Uklam Tahes UMKM Sukses' Healthy Walk activity held at the RW 3 Hall, Pisangcandi Village, Sukun District, Malang City, Sunday (26/11/2023).
Acting Mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat in his speech expressed his appreciation for the implementation of the healthy walk in commemoration of National Heroes Day 2023 as well as a moment to promote and empower MSME products in Pisangcandi Village.
"With the healthy walk, of course, MSME products will be lifted, there is a turn of the economy. There is continuity, after the healthy walk, buy MSME products. Moreover, today, many MSME products are in the form of food, this is an opportunity to sell MSME products," said Wahyu, Sunday (26/11).
Wahyu said, if not us who buys these UMKM products then who else? Moreover, the products sold are produced by the Pisangcandi Village community itself. "Moreover, the Malang City Government prioritizes programs to develop and empower UMKM," he added.
The real program that has been implemented to support local MSMEs, said Wahyu, is through the Kamis Mbois program, where there is a requirement for ASN and Non ASN in the Malang City Government environment to use products made by Malang City MSMEs every Thursday. "The clothes worn, shirts, pants, t-shirts, other accessories must be Malang City MSME products. This is to foster a love for local products," explained Wahyu. (cah/yon)
